Introduction and Purpose

Why not begin this blog with an introduction about myself and the purpose of this blog.

My name is Earl Watts also known as DJ Jazzy L. I began streaming as an internet broadcaster on December 13, 2003 with a radio show titled Jazzy Lounge hosted on Live365. In May of 2011, I began broadcasting live on WNUR, a terrestrial broadcast station located in Evanston, Illinois.

The purpose of this page is to write music reviews about the promos received from record labels, artists and producers. I will never be able to review all of the material I receive, so please don't be offended if you've sent me product but you don't see a review. If your music is in Jazzy Lounge's playlist (rotation), that is the highest unwritten recommendation I can give. It means I liked it or loved it.

Once a week reviews will be posted in four different categories.

• The Jazzy Lounge Song of the Week 
• The Jazzy Lounge Album of the Week
• Jazzy Lounge Recommends (CD/Album)
• Jazzy Lounge Recommends (Song)

Once a month reviews will be posted for the

• Track of the Month
• Album of the Month

Criteria for track of the month- a song that has charted on Jazzy Lounge within the past 4 weeks- position 1 through 5 qualifies. Post day- near the 15th of any given month. I will review the possible 20 tracks for overall quality and consistency, then make a pick.

Periodically, reviews will feature records labels and/or artists.
The song and album of the week reviews will be exhaustive while the recommendations brief.

If a song or album appears as a recommendation it still has the possibility of being featured.
